It was cold and wet as I pounded through the streets. I had run all the way from school and my legs were screaming but I had no choice but to run. Running, running towards a dead body, a dead body of my father.
It all started on a normal school day. Its was pouring and me and best friend Nikki were huddled under a tiny umbrella. It was so small my bag sticking out and getting soaked at least Nikki’s was too. “God Nikki why did you have to get such a tiny umbrella! “I cried out in annoyance. “ Well excuse me for sharing an umbrella when someone forgot to watch the news for the weather forecast!” Nikki snapped back. “Ok geez I’m sorry! Its just tiny and my books are going to soak.” “Serves you right” she whispered. “I heard that!” “Lets just get inside so we’re dry.” She sighed as we walked into the gates of Silver Lake High, as I said, it seemed like any other day.
