War split the globe straight down the middle; technological advancement blossomed in the west while the east fought desperately to turn back the clock, erasing all "foreign" remnants. After centuries of bloodshed, a treaty brought both halves to stagnant isolation. Now, in the year of 2510, trouble toils in the heart of Egypt.

Especially for its princess.

Perfect and obedient daughter of royalty by day, heartless assassin by night, Princess Rayna of Sphinx Nation never intended for her life to become anymore complicated than it already is. She has plenty piled onto her plate to begin with. Political tension bubbling like a witch's cauldron, maintaining Sphinx Nation's power as figurehead of Egypt, and doing it all while living under the ruthless watch of her mother Queen Sekhmet.

And now, some street rat named Kazue waltzes into her life, believing her to be his Guardian Spirit. His protector. Above all else, his best friend.

Rayna is far from pleased with this development but the longer Kazue is under her care, the more mysteries form around him. Even worse, the uprising of Sphinx's rival province, Isis Nation, threatens to flip her world upside down.

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

Maddox Price has been implanted with a chip, allowing an ancient deity to control every thought that crosses his mind. Be it unwillingly, he's tasked with protecting someone "special," a smart-mouthed girl deemed the "healer of humanity." Claire Adara was raised in an orphanage, left abandoned after her parents died in a fatal car accident. She'd learned to be sneaky, and that trust is a rare gift that must be earned. When she met Maddox, though, she was drawn to him. Well, not to his attitude, but rather the shimmering gold liquid that ran through his veins. As if controlled solely by a deity and absent of any individual thought, Maddox and Claire must (against their natural instincts) work together to save the world from the natural catastrophe that is the Red Giant. The sun has become 100 times bigger than it once was, and it's scorching the Earth. Claire is the only one who can reverse it. Though, the sun is only one problem on a long list of them. Anarchist group- Chaos- is after her life, simply for the omnipotent power that she possesses. As humanity stands on its last two feet- her two feet- Claire works alongside Maddox in a journey to save both humanity and themselves. ***WINNER of the "BREATHTAKING: A FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL WRITING COMPETITION!" "You are a secret kept from the world, but not from me." So begins the peculiar message found slipped under a bedroom door on the morning of May first. Theo is the heir to a powerful dictatorship. The number of people allowed to know he exists is few. He has spent his entire life walled up in the Tower, the looming stone monolith from which his father rules over the Land. Merryn is the daughter of political prisoners. She's known who Theo is longer than he would think possible, and she is taking a great risk contacting him via handwritten notes in order to convince him he deserves more than the fate his father has designed for him. She has one month to exchange daily messages with him, to answer his questions and open his eyes to the realities of a world he has never been allowed to see. A revolution is coming to the Land at the end of the month, and if Merryn's notes fail to get their point across, Theo may never live to see the sunrise on June first. A/N: The following letters were originally published each day from May 1st-31st, 2014. As you will see,Theo is allowed to write down a question for Merryn each evening, but you, the reader, won't see these within the body of the story. It may or may not be obvious from Merryn's response what Theo is asking. Part of the fun is guessing what his questions might be, but if you really want to know what they are, a list of those questions is at the end of the story. This story is a re-imagining of Rapunzel. Now, without further ado-I believe a young heir is about to unfold a slip of paper found on the tile floor near his door... Let's see what it says!
