Moira Anderson, like every other 16-years old New Yorker hapless enough to have ended up born in the wrong place at the wrong time, got caught up in a covenant that dictates each and every teenager under said category to take the Fate test and find out their predestinations in their lives. The Founders of this decision claim that this puts adolescents at a great advantage: finding out about their fate and preparing for it in advance. After taking her Fate result from within the grasps of the Techno Seer, the machine that reads teenagers' minds to create a verse-long outline of their period of existence, Moira suspects that the Founders strive for more than just a better world. So, with the help of her friends, she goes to great lengths to unravel the mystery that she and others like her have fallen victims for.
