"You don't think it's weird?" I asked, skeptically. "No." He replied, with a simple smile. "Actually, I think it's pretty cool. I wish I could control the sea." Aoife has been able to feel the changing of the tide for as long as she can remember- it's a secret she shares only with her Father- and keeping it is easy in her rather mediocre life. But after the arrival of the mysterious Caspar, who claims to be her brother, Aoife begins to see things changing- and not all of the changes are good. Can Aoife realise her true potential before fate decides for her?

(LOTR - Haldir Fic) Aisling Hughes has her life figure out. She has a great job working with her cousins in their family-run hotel business in New York. And her friends in the small town of Oklahoma where she was born. Sure life has dealt her some pretty hard blows, but she's always thought herself strong and capable, willing to do what was needed to help her family and friends. That was until a freak spring storm blows up, sending an unexpected (and rather large) tornado her way. When she wakes up, Aisling finds herself in a land she doesn't recognize, surrounded by people and creatures that shouldn't exist on the cusp of a war that she'll never survive, even with all her 21st century knowledge. Feeling completely out of her element, Aisling must rely on the help of the ever serious and stoic Haldir, and the cryptic advice of Lady Galadriel, as they search for a wizard who can supposedly send her back home (or help her wake up - she's still not sure if this is all real). And then learns that perhaps it wasn't a journey to find her way home, but to find herself... and perhaps fall in love along the way...
