On a tall cliff he stood, peering over the lovely horizon, the sailboats and surfers obscuring the smoothness of the sea like ripples on a mirror. Jonas longed to touch the water but could find no way off the cliff.

His lungs finally gave out on him as he breathed, and inhaled the salty sea around him.
