After complete destruction of the North American continent, one nation has rose from the rumble. The Confederation of the North American Alliance developed a new system of organizing and conquering. It consisted of two groups, the government official premiums and the regular citizen artisans. After graduating primary school, all citizens are assigned a class based on their previous acedemic and athletic success. Those chosen to be premiums must attend a training program called the Integrity Syllabus. Those chosen are put through rigorous testing designed to weed out the future leaders and politicians. However, those who fail are quickly forgotten. All Arabella Jacobsen wants is to have a future.

'Transit umbra, lux permanet' - Shadow passes, light remains. ~ Her hair is fire, eyes emeralds of life. She is the epitome of both evil and purity. She will either cleanse the earth... or watch it burn to the ground. She is the world's last saviour and she has finally arrived. *** When a monstrous virus has wreaked the earth for several years, one can only hope that they are not the next victim. The virus attacks the brain, taking away every sense of emotion and remorse you once had, replacing it with pure aggression. This, combined with extreme intelligence is what wiped out over six billion people. They aren't called zombies. No, they're much smarter than that. They're called Corrupted. No one can be trusted. With bandits, gangs, a shady government and of course the Corrupted, how can you know who the real enemy is? [Book One in The Corrupted Series] "Oh, my dear Evelyn. The Corrupted were merely a distraction. The real terror is only just beginning."
