Elena Clarence has lived in a world where the "pack always comes first." She is the first daughter of the first Alpha in her heritage line and tradition says that she has to marry into an outlying pack; a pack that is strong, dependable, and second to their own. However, she has her own plans and that does not involve marrying a complete stranger. She wants more out of life than being with her pack forever and she'll go to great lengths to have what she wants. Little does she know, a visitor has come to their home from one of the outlying packs and is there for one purpose and one purpose only.

Eric Knight lives in content with the tradition of how his father's pack has been run and respects that he must marry the first daughter of the fist pack. He resumes responsibilities after his father's passing and travels to the first pack after the Alpha comes to visit him. In arriving, he learns of the first daughter, Elena Clarence, and has yet to see her. He hears of her defiance against her father and becomes intrigued with meeting her and finding out what makes her so very different from the rest of her pack. He plans on marrying Elena as soon as possible, but fate has other plans for him.

Little do both of them know that other forces are present and both are in for a twist they never saw coming. Who's life will be lost? What lines will be crossed? And, will Elena survive knowing all that she will come to know?

(Please read Theron 1 before moving on to this book) A stranger washes ashore on a deserted beach. With no memory of who or what he is, the only clue he has to his identity--the only thing he recalls from his past life--is a single, solitary name: Lina. But on a planet with over seven billion inhabitants, his only chance of finding her rests solely within the hands of Fate itself... and the help of a sassy, young street rat. A child's life hangs in the balance--a child whose blood is so unique it has the power to change the course of the future for one group of supernaturals in particular... and this group doesn't howl at the moon. For Lina and the other Ancients, a new war is brewing and in a very literal sense. This battle will not be fought with bullets and teeth like the massacre at Superlunar, but rather with magic and wit and maybe a little divine intervention. So, how do you fight an evil you can't touch? How do you stop a weapon you can't see? And how to you protect the ones you have no memory of loving? Easy! You have to remember what you don't know you knew... You have to remember who you are... You just have to remember. ⚠️ This story is marked "Mature" for a reason. There will be violence, strong language and sexual content. I will not write a warning for these chapters as it is already labeled for a mature audience. Book 2 in the Rootbridge Pack series. You DON'T need to have read book 1 in order to enjoy this. You'll find a plot summary for An Alpha's Alpha (Book 1) in Chapter 1. J, has been through a lot. A harrowing upbringing was followed by her and her pack being chased by a murderous alpha, Caine, who was intent on owning and destroying J's Alpha, Cassidy. Now, finally, after years of being on the run, J is...safe. She's always been on the outside, a lone wolf with just enough humanity left to attach herself to Cassidy and her pack, but now she's being offered a life in a loving, safe pack, with friends who are practically family. For anybody else it would be a good thing, a chance at happiness, but for J there's just one obstacle standing in her way: The King is dead, long live the King. She may have killed Caine, but his pack need an Alpha and right now, they think it's her. Realising the biggest threat to her pack is herself, J forces herself to leave and set out on her own. She should have known it would never be that easy. Whispers have travelled about Cassidy's protector. About the woman more wolf than most. * Alpha of the Blackoath pack, Logan Black, has been watching J for a while now. Sure, he tried to stop himself but his wolf is obsessed and so is he. Knowing he can never truly have her, he resigns himself to being her unofficial stalker, protector and guardian angel. So, when an underprepared alpha tries to capture her, he readies himself to go to her defence, but he should have known better. As he watches J destroy the pack who'd been sent to capture her, he realises that maybe, just maybe, he's found the only wolf in existence strong enough to match him. Strong enough to be his mate. Strong enough to kill him. However, when it comes down to it, Logan can't quite bring himself to ask the woman of his dreams to end his life, so instead lets her go - and that's where it all goes wrong.

COMPLETED#61 in Werewolf on the 6th of October 2016. Her father has been grooming her to at least lead by his side since she was a little girl, and in time she has come to believe it is her right to rule. But most do not agree. She is only a woman. Meant for other things. Unfortunately, she is the only heir of the Alpha, and there has never been an Alpha Female in the pack's history. A trial by combat for the Alpha position is one option, but from the pack, only males are allowed to participate. There is danger in that process, however, because when a trial by combat for the Alpha position is held, enemy Alphas can also participate, giving them a chance to grab power, all the territory and willing members in a single victorious fight all the while leaving those unhappy with the new leadership with the only other option of exile, losing everything they have. What could she possibly hope to do to break the old, traditional way of how females are seen to be little more than wives and second line supporters of the males in the pack? Some say that if she finds a mate that becomes Alpha, making her a Luna would be an acceptable compromise, but for whom? And even then, what kind of male wolf would accept such a dominant female partner? Probably... none. Hello everyone! Thank you all for reading! This book is left only as a sample on Wattpad as it is published on Amazon and in one of their programs requiring exclusivity. Not all is lost though! Books 2 and 3 will be left on Wattpad as they are, meaning complete and continuing the story, and there is a recap at the beginning of Book 2 with what happened in the first book. Thanks again! You rock!
