What if, your whole life people at school just thought you were the shy girl in the corner that was deaf? What if you heard every single gossip, secret and confession that came out of peoples lips. Now what if, someone you didn’t even notice, found out you were listening to his or her secret? Follow the tale of the girl who let people believe what they wanted, stayed quiet and observed listening to every dark secret. Some that may even pull and push her though trouble she never expected to happen to a girl like her.
The people at her school, practically acting as if she were invisible, always ignored Sparrow Blackwood as a child. No one even noticed her behind them as they whispered about how Suzy had lice, or how Robbie’s parents are getting a divorce because his mom slept with Mr. Smith. For years people just looked passed her, and now she’s using it to her own amusement. No longer caring, Sparrow doesn’t try to correct people when they tell others that she’s deaf, simply standing by and hearing them spill their hearts out. She didn’t tell anyone the secrets but laughed inwardly at how people spoke freely in front of people they assumed couldn’t hear. But one day, the secret Sparrow heard was even beyond her and soon she’ll be finding herself in trouble beyond compare.
