Mahogany is accustomed to verbal and physical abuse. After her mother was killed she was left to live with her hateful grandmother. When her grandmother passes away her aunt and uncle takes her in. She'll lose one of many people she has grown to love dearly. It'll leave a huge dent in her heart that she desperately desires to fill. Being accepted to FAMU she struggles to be the cream of the crop. She ends up going astray. When trouble arises the person that she least expects will be there to be Clark Kent. The clichè saying of , "everything that glitters ain't gold" is not enough to make Mahogany understand something that she should already know but some cravings are hard to deny. Like parents and grandparents say "A hard head makes a soft ass"
