The scientists are under pressure to find a way to communicate with the enigmatic species so a peaceful resolution can be reached. Peters, drawn to the underwater aliens, begins to form a bond with a Hex with a missing limb. Dr. Cooper believes in him, but time is running out for a diplomatic solution. If Peters can’t make the breakthrough they need, the Hex will be eliminated from the face of the planet. For good.
