The year is 1984. Izzy Armstrong is a senior at Sunset Valley High School in Alister, California, and he has one goal in mind: to take his band to the top by winning Battle Of The Bands. The only things stopping him from reaching his goal are annoying groupies, his band's drummer with a drinking problem, the school's failing band budget, and his family's shattered bonds. When Izzy overcomes these challenges, he finds a whole new meaning to "living for the music."
