Memories. Most people treasure them, but Daniella (Ella) Foster does everything she can to avoid them. 
The summer Ella turned 16 could have been the best summer of her life. The hottest boy in school asked her out twice. She finally got her license. She met two of her best friends who were visiting from another country. Except, a tragic accident left Ella with no recollection of the summer. 16th birthday? Forgotten. Hottest boyfriend in school? Forgotten. International best friends? Forgotten. For the past year Ella has done her best to avoid remembering anything, because a sharp pain shoots through her head if she remembers a single detail.

Now, Ella records weekly vlogs online with the username UnexpectedMiracle and has just moved from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to London, England with her father and younger sister, Sarah, in hopes of avoiding anything that could trigger a memory from that summer. Here is where she meets Brendon and Julian who also make vlogs and comedy sketches online. Brendon is clouding Ella’s thoughts from the moment they meet and Julian always seems a little nervous.
