Part 3. (SPOILER- if you haven't read parts 1&2) Though this story isn't told by Ellie, we get to see the way her life was supposed to be. Seventeen years after the crash, fourteen years of marriage, and another child along the way, Ellie and Chase are still together, but maybe not for long.
