“Can you tell me why everyone is acting like I just jumped off a building because I dared speak to you?” Alex asks, the corner of his mouth quirking up. “Because you may as well have.” I say shortly, and return to staring at the graffiti on the desk. Bad things happen to people that associate with people like me. The silence lingers for what seems like years.

Alex is a fifteen year old boy who had the worst luck in life. He'd witnessed his parents deaths, he was bounced from foster home to foster home, but this was the last time. His torture was their entertainment. His pain was what they thrived on. Then it went way too far, and he ran. There was only one person he trusted, and it was the boy he met at school on his first day there. He barely knew this boy, but when he needed a friend, this sweet, raven haired boy told him the most important word that he hadn't heard in a long time. "You're safe." Safe was something Alex hadn't felt since he was a child, and even then, after the truth all came out, he realized he had never been safe in the first place. Jack was the boy's name, and Jack made Alex feel safe and loved. Disclaimer: Obviously I don't own Jack or Alex, and this story is simply a figment of my imagination. This story will be told from both Alex's and Jack's point of view. Mostly Alex's though. I WILL ADD NOW, THIS IS GRAPHIC AND INVOLVES SELF HARM, ABUSE AND RAPE. Read at your own discretion. Time isn't really factor in this story, I was aiming at like 2008-2009 but it doesn't really matter.
