"My name is Cecilia. But you can call me Superglue." She said, reaching her hand out to shake his.

"Uh...why?" He questioned, grabbing her hand and firmly shaking it.

"Because holy shit do I get attached." She smirked.

* 'I-I am sorry your highness I touched ...!' She was trying to apologize, but she fell silent as she could not utter with her mouth that she accidentally touched his lips. 'But I am not sorry!' He said calmly looking straight at her. What was she supposed to say after hearing his words? 'I did not mean to touch your highness's ...' she said with great difficulty. 'That was not a touch.' He said not permitting her to brush it off as an accident, even though it clearly was. 'It was a kiss.' He said with a hoarse determined voice. She widened her eyes, as her face flushed even more than it did when she realized what she had done. He dared to say the word she avoided. 'That was not! I...' she tried to refute. 'What is a kiss Celia?' She could not answer. How could she say the definition of a kiss with her own mouth, it would only confirm his words. * 'It was an accident. I am truly sorry, I did not mean any discourtesy towards your highness. If I can make up for my error somehow?' She quickly said. She did not know of his personal life, as he had a tight security around him and nobody knew much of the king outside official visits and business. He must have felt insulted. 'Please don't call it an accident. For a first kiss of a person to be called an accident ...' He said again with a dejected tone, but did not continue. It was like he had already gotten his point across. 'Ahhh. I am so sorry! It really was an ...' She wanted to say accident but, because of his pleading she could not actually say it. To have committed the blame of taking the king's first kiss and then not acknowledging it, how would he think of her? At this point she did not even realize that their roles had reversed, or that it was her first kiss also. PS: If you like loyal mates... then please proceed further :D

"This is an Angel girl named Maisie Lark. She hasn't ever stepped foot into the 'real world'. Attempting to break the lock is useless and I have the key. I've extended the olive branch. Maisie's your motive. Come find me when you're ready." Cecilia Star has been alive long enough to know what it's like to be a demon in the human realm, but she's also been alive long enough to cope with her everyday life. But when she wakes up handcuffed to a strange Angel she's never met before, she's thrown for a loop. Cecilia assumes it's all just one big, extremely cruel prank by the twins in order to rile her up and test her limits. After all, Maisie is everything that Cecilia would rather leave behind her, determined, opinionated, and so very clearly wrong. But it doesn't take Cecilia and Maisie long to realize that the handcuff prank is a little more than just a lighthearted joke. The thing about Demon metal is that it is a fickle thing. It can only be unlocked by the person who has the key and no matter what method is used, it cannot be broken. Cecilia would rather just forget the whole thing, refuse to give Ezekiel the satisfaction he so wants, and remain handcuffed to Maisie for the rest of her life. It doesn't take long to realize that it's just not possible. Maisie is everything that she shouldn't be in the human realm. Bigoted, rude, and annoyingly difficult. She can't even get close to Cecilia without making some sort of remark on how she can't stand Demons. As the time ticks down and options become less and less, maybe being handcuffed to each other will teach Cecilia and Maisie a thing or two about themselves. Maybe running from the past isn't the right choice and perhaps, maybe even a Demon and Angel could fall in love too. (Entered in the Open Novella Contest 2022 under prompt 79. Book 1 of "Bloodlust" series. "I'm going to give you one chance to answer me. Where is she?" She asked, looking into my eyes. I looked back at her, terrified. "I swear that I don't know what you're talking about!" I answered, starting to shiver. She smiled wickedly. "You know, the only reason I sent my brother away was because I wanted to interrogate you myself. Whatever he would have done to you doesn't even begin to compare with what I'm going to do to you if you don't answer me. So... One more time. Where. Is. She?" She said, in a condescending tone, as if she was explaining something to a child. "Look, if you want to kill me go ahead. I don't know anything." I said, looking into her eyes and faking the confidence that I definitely didn't have. She looked at me, cocking her head to the side, and for a few seconds I though she wouldn't to anything. My relief didn't last though as she laughed coldly and looked at me with a half smile. Her laughter was beautiful, even though it sent shivers down my spine. It was the same with her eyes and smile. All of which showed me that she wasn't kidding. "Where did you get the necklace?" She asked. I froze, was that what that was all about? I didn't know! "I told you before, my dad left it to me, I swear." I said truthfully. She looked at me for a few seconds, thinking. I couldn't shake the feeling that everything about her was cold. "Well, even if you don't know anything, she'll come for you. And I will have the answers I want." She said with indifference before adding huskily in my ear. "And... I think we can have some fun together while you stay. Don't you agree?" She said as she laughed again and gave me her signature smile. Everything about her showed me that she wanted to hurt me and even more. She wanted me, in every way possible. Rated M(Mature content): Contains triggering content, read at your own risk.

She was seated next to the window seat. Strangely, I've been seeing her every day on my way to work, either in the morning or at night, either crossing across the street or catching a glimpse of her back anywhere I go. I grinned as I approached her. I touched her shoulder making her jump slightly. "Is this seat taken?" I questioned why she was looking up at me with big eyes. "Ye-ss, I mean No, no" she mumbled. I raised my brow at her stuttering and took a seat. "So I have a question to ask you." She put her phone down and made straight eye contact with me before leaning back in her chair and crossed her arms. "I believe I may have an answer to your question." I let out a small chuckle at her sudden confidence. "Is it just a coincidence that I've been seeing you for the past three days after our little encounter, or are you a crazy stalker stalking me?" she sighed.
