Outside the walls
War had just broke out between the states of America. Two states remained. Yet only one wins. One state had won by peace and one state had won by destruction. The day of the fight, the state of distinction launched a nuke. Yet they had under estimated the power the nuke had. It destroyed both states and it had seemed that no one remained. 3 years latter and a little city had grown out of the destruction. Emma was a resident of that city. Emma had a different childhood than most. "Go fetch the food!" or "Go get the water!" Were the most of chores she had to do. It was grow up fast or die in her city! On Emma's 17 birthday she would be old enough to go out side of the city walls and look for communication to other parts of the world. They had found a part of a cell tower that would finish off there hand made cell tower and needed a search crew to go get it and bring it back. Emma now being old enough she tried out. She had never been outside the city walls. We're most of the adventures have already gone once or twice. The moment she noticed her handler forgot to lock the door behind him, she wasted no time making a run for it. There's only one problem though. She had no clue where she was. Surrounded by endless trees she was stripped of having any sense of direction but that didn't stop her motives. The girl began her journey and ran for what felt like hours, stumbling upon a small abandoned home camouflaged deep in the woods. No second thoughts, she took shelter. Soon it's discovered that the home was indeed not abandoned but already claimed by someone. IT lets go of me, my head hits the ground again, no sound echos this time. IT's mouth movies, but my ears ring, so I can't hear IT. Everything is blurry and movies too much. I can't focus on anything. IT looks at me, IT's eyes are all gray. IT smirks and stands all of the way up, towering over me. I pull myself up and wobble away from IT on unsteady feet. I look back again, to see that the fog has covered my path, and I can only see a couple of inches away from my face. It was weird to have all of this fire around you and not have it burn or touch your fragile skin. With each match and whisper the fire grew, but yells found my ears.
