What if Hiccup and Valka both had the souls of dragons? What if Hiccup had exactly the same eye color as Toothless and they could turn into slits when angry, irritated or frustrated? What if hiccup could change into a night fury and toothless was not short down? What if the Toothless and Hiccup met in a different way?

This story is not exactly following the movies, but I am trying to make it do that as much as possible. I was thinking about Valka could leave with Hiccup, but it wouldn't be the same so Hiccup and Valka will meet, but they will meet when Hiccup is 15 and not 20. It does have some spoilers because, in this story, Hiccup and toothless are friends ever since they were both 11 months old(they were also born/hatched on the same day).
Give it a chance and it will maybe turn out to be great. It's my first how to train your dragon story/fanfic so don't expect me to do great.

You have likely seen it all before, Hiccup gets chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare but instead of staying to try and prove to his village dragons aren't the monsters they think they are, he leaves. Abandons the world he knows for a world of possibility, a world where he can be him, be free. What if he is one day discovered by a group of dragon riders and chose to join them as they had adventure after adventure. It would be a good life but of course it would never stay so happy, things would change sometimes for the better sometimes for worse. Old scars would surface, old lives reappear and new faces vanish, how would this affect him. Well shall we find out? I don't own the How To Train Your Dragon franchise of course and this is all done for fun. You know the legal stuff. I also don't own the image, I got it off of google as one could expect. For now the story isn't Mature though this may change in the future as I continue so I will make sure to change that if it becomes necessary, just an early warning just in case I break a guideline.
