Franklin White was a boy from Mexico. His mother and father had just recently divorced, his pet dog died, and the pendant, his only nice, expensive object, he received from his grandmother was stolen. Franklin currently lives with his father. There, Franklin is forced to do extensive work on the wheat fields by the acre, and is only given a loaf of bread each day. His father, Pedro, abuses him.
