Adeline Rose is an orphaned and homeless fifteen year old, with a life containing more bitterness and insanity than the majority of people her age. She has completely and utterly lost hope in everything.

Laura May is a murderer, a serial killer, and is the reason Adeline is still alive - at the cost of countless others lives. She has low morals and high vengeance. Laura feeds off the angst and the vulnerability that Adeline lives with.

If there's one thing that Adeline Rose wants, it's to be rid of her insanity. Her insanity that is the form of Laura May.
