Rae O'Neill is a prisoner on the ark, a space station in the sky, she was brought in for a few things. One Assaulting The Chancellor, two assaulting a guard, and three Resisting arrest. No matter how small the charge is it is punishable by death if over the age of eighteen. Most who sit in the 'Sky box' which most prisoners call it, wait until their eighteen then they will be floated. If a person is floated they are sent out into space and die. Chancellor Jaha decides to send the 100 prisoners to earth, Rae included. When Rae arrives to the Earth, which no one has ever seen, she begins to get feelings for a certain goggled eyed boy. But can there be love in tragedy, sickness, and war? All they think about has to be about Surviving Earth.
