"Karma..." He muttered. I looked over at him as he smiled to himself. "Is a bitch. And so are you!" I joked. Aiden glanced up at me and glared before he smashed a spoonful of ice cream onto my face, rubbing cheek to cheek, down to my chin then up to my forehead. I just sat there, paralyzed. "Try calling me that again." He joked back, leaning forward so our faces were a few inches apart. I huffed, grabbed a napkin to wipe my face off. Only to fake him out so it seemed I wasn't going to strike. But when he wasn't paying attention, I flung a spoonful of ice cream onto his face. It hit him on the nose and eye. I broke out laughing, moaning lightly as my ribs protested in pain. But it was too funny. Aiden took the ice cream in his mouth when it slid down to his lips. "Hmmm. Cookie dough." His eyes gleamed with lust and humor. "You look handsome with ice cream on your face!" I giggled, reaching over to clean it. He stayed still, obviously liking my actions as he purred again. Summer had a dream: To major in photography and travel around the world with her sister. Problem? She has an abusive father that won't give her up for the live of him. Due to having a terrible memory, Aiden decided to write in journals about his daily struggles, his longing for a better life, and breakthroughs that he accomplishes throughout the story. Aiden loves to sing and Write his own music. He is good at the piano but his love is the old guitar that his Gramps gave him years ago. Aiden has one younger brother named Caleb, which is the normal typical annoying brother. Aiden has a girlfriend named Tessa who lives about an hour away from him who he longs to marry. Throughout the story, Aiden struggles to move on through each day, as days turn into night and night into day, he finds himself growing colder towards his father. Who is the towns hero practically. everybody loves the star football coach, Josh Phillips. Things aren't what they seem behind doors though, their father tends to be abusive. Verbal and physical. Aiden can choose to live with his mom but chooses not to because he wants to protect his brother who can't choose yet. As Aiden dives deeper into his fathers unknown past, he uncovers more and more details about his father's past. As he continues to dive deeper, the tension grows heavier. Through out the story, Aiden finds himself digging through old journals, trying to remember certain things. Can Aiden solve the mystery of his father's behavior and show the world the true nature of his father or will he choose to shrink down to nothing and continue to struggle?Complete

After all they did kill someone right? Aiden Quinnell, a decently middle aged man, lost his wife to cancer recently. During his most darkest time, two college boys appear in his life. They turn the isolated depressed life into a cheerful one. They have the intentions of popularizing the story of Aiden's late wife Rachel, who seems to be a mysterious figure, meddling with everyone's lives. Both, the husband and wife were detectives, determined to solve the case of a killer amongst their own society. However each close lead turn into a dead end. This unfortunately makes them register the case as unsolved. Rachel was always a mysterious figure in Aiden's life, even though he fell in love with her during their college days together. She always seemed to have this manipulative control over him, but you couldn't call it toxic. Aiden was always in his senses when he did something for her. They both really were pillar opposites, he believed in law and justice, while she believed that if a job was done for the right causes it could be excused. Keeping all of this aside, this is Rachel's incomplete, yet Aiden's complete story. He finds closure, in the process of telling the mystery of the unsolved case. He finds the strength to heal his broken self in the process, after all, without Rachel he felt blind, deaf and dumb. As if his world disappeared in a snap of fingers.
