The mutation causes her to be some what 'super human' when her parents take her to a doctor as a baby for concern of her abnormal purple eyes, she becomes a world wide star, and proves that long ago people with this mutation once were living and she is a beginning of it again. But when a scientist tries to copy this mutation, he messes up really bad, causing a second plague, more extreme than the Black Plague. And with Astrid's strong immune system she can't get the sickness. She becomes a protector of the people but when things get rough can she pull through for the humans race sake? Read and find out

They don't belong in the normal human world but the world they once lived has been taken over by the Darkness and is unsafe for young children. When Luna turns 16 she is to cross to this world to not return until she decides to have kids of her own.
