The Written History tells us that God placed the Witch Wood to keep us strong, to stop us from the temptations of demon-hood. The Oral History, spoken in whispers by the Witching Heralds, tells us differently. God committed divine suicide, splitting His/Her/Its self into 20 shards. Two of those shards became corrupted, and spread out as the Witch Wood. Today we spend our days in our cities, organised into Temples and Ordo. For without God where would we be? I am Phylius, and in these pages you will read the beginnings of Him. Jak Lavellan, the Herald of the Woods.
