Jane Dornan is not the happiest girl alive but she's the happiest bookworm alive, she spends most of her time in a library at Richmond High, particularly leading a known normal life until she literally 'bumps' into Damien and the being the jerk he is, torments her but they come to a conclusion when Damien's sister makes them sign a deal that both Damien and Jane sign carelessly, agreeing to hug at least for three minutes whenever they meet at the library, without knowing when the contract expires and without ripping each other's heads off. They begin to call it 'The Library Deal.'
But they don't expect anything to change, not that it is going to.
