One night changes her life. When the brutal murder of Bertha Barnett happens on a regular night after work, Alice sees it all and believes it was nothing but a dream. But when Mrs. Barnett is found dead on her lawn the morning after, the truth threatens her life.
Alice has a secret. And the longer she keeps it, the closer she marches to her grave. Loose lips will keep her alive, but she doesn't know that. Especially when there's a man on the run, sewing them shut.

My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. "I wonder where he could've gone...the footprints stop here...so I wonder if he just...disappeared?" My body begins to tremble. I can feel it now. The pain. I can feel the pain already. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now. But his body tenses up when he hears it. He laughs bitterly as he turns around slowly, and his eyes cut through my camouflage easily. "There you are."Complete

It's not death it's art
Well what can you expect from an artist also born of blood? She was too young to remember much of anything that happened to them she was barely 6 months old but at least she was protected. Kept with her big brother. The only thing she has this memory of in the back of her mind is red everywhere and it was beautiful not in the same way her brothers think of it but more like an artist. She does photography for the police too. She teaches art to kids she helps her brother with his killings. Not in the way you think though. She's the only person that really understands him. She never saw him as a monster or something evil. Normal serial killers they're said to not have emotions or feelings but she knows that he loves her and that he's grateful for me. Dad never knew they kept it hidden well enough somehow that he never found out she knew the truth and their sister never knew either. As a child you always fear the monster under your bed or in your closet. Maybe you watched a scary movie or were told a horror story to make you believe something was under there. You jump onto your bed and jerk your limbs away from the edge or always shut your closet door. Then you hide under the covers in hopes that they don't get to you. As you grow older you realize the invisible monster under your bed is just that, invisible. Its not that they don't exist, it's just that you don't see them. You write off the bumps in the night as the wind or shifting floorboards but they're lies. Little white lies you tell yourself so you can sleep at night. Well I'm here to tell you that whatever is causing those bumps is very real. In my case, the source doesn't hide in my closet but rather under my bed. And he's determined to drag me right there with him. Can you be friends with the monster under your bed? ** "Ask me Aria," he rasped. His voice dripped with temptation that would make the devil jealous. His lips were brushing against mine as we leaned into each other. I felt like I was drowning in his presence. The hand that was on my breast had moved to my waist, keeping me close even as I tipped towards him. His hand was still on my sex, leisurely teasing the area. "Please," I whispered. Something mixed between a growl and a purr escaped him. It vibrated deeply from his chest. I thought he would kiss me but he didn't. His lips hovered over mine before they softly traced my cheek. I gasped when his hands moved to under my arms, moving me until I straddled his thigh.Complete
