Somebody has been following Evangeline. She has noticed a tall man with dark hair and a black jacket outside of her University classes, around the café she frequents, and even outside of her home. Evan begins to think she's really lost it.
Six months ago, Evangeline lost her parents. Their weekend getaway to Edinburgh ended with a horrific car accident. Since then, Evan has been coping as best she could (if you can count getting two cats and lots of takeout as "coping").
What will happen when the mysterious man gives Evan some news that tears her world apart? Can she trust a man like this?

How I Saved the World (Or So They Told Me)
Pen's uncle is a cop, and ever since she was able to crawl, she was being versed in the arts of stranger danger (and possibly a few karate, ninja-like moves). So when some unknown guy begins to chat her up through her car window, and then goes on to watch her as she drives away, she does what she's been taught: she goes to the cops. However, this turns out to be the least suspicious thing to occur in the following week. A new boy at Penelope's school invites her over to dinner, and suddenly she's being informed that she's involved in a prophecy (which was written on, excuse me, is that toilet paper?) to help stop an evil mastermind named Sir Dastardly and reclaim the prized Purity Crystal. Pen's reaction? (Well, after she goes a little crazy with her stun gun.) After his father kidnaps him and forces him to steal quirks he's forced to run away, Izuku Midoriya gets a job! On top of that, he is a vigilante! Will he be able to balance it all without worrying about our favorite coffee hobo plus a mystery person or a few? (You'll have to read to find out who) Or Aizawa meets his latest problem child and with the help of a certain detective, they try to catch him. Aizawa however finds out some interesting things about his problem child along his journey... She is homeschooled, has no real friends of her own, unless you count her tutor, and has zero connections outside her parents social circle. Eva is expected to go to lavish social events, smile prettily at rich boys, be Steven-Hawking-smart, look and act absolutely perfect, obey every command and never step a toe out of line. Workaholic, self absorbed, money loving parents don't make for a loving environment. She's not like them, she can't stand it. They may be rich and successful, sure. But no human can live like this. A golden cage is still a cage, and Eva wants to spread her wings. Confined to her parents rules and lifestyle, Eva can only bend so much before she breaks. She's 17 and angry. Eva wants nothing more than to write and travel. Her only escape is her 18th birthday. She'd be a legal adult. She'd have freedom, happiness. But it's too far away. They want to give her away to a man with a crooked smirk and roaming eyes. She can't do it anymore. So she runs away. She finds Logan, a boy of the projects. He's worn down and broken, but under the layers he's swathed himself in since the death of his mother, there is a lively, loving person. Genuine, attractive, and kind, he's Eva's first outside friend. He can take her away and they can both escape. Anyone can go just about anywhere with a stolen 15 grand in their backpack. Follow Eva and Logan on a 12 destination trip across the country and find out if their friendship blooms into something more.
