It has been 3 yeas since Ziva David stayed behind in Israel during her time Away Gibbs has replaced Ziva in the team with Eleanor bishop but was never be able to replace Ziva as Ziva is irraplaceable as a person friend and daughter
Tony was the most effected by Ziva's absance because of what happened in Israel when she said she couldn't come back to Washington with him
When Ziva comes back she has a two year old daughter called Kate after Special Agent Caitlin 'Kate' Todd who was killed by Ari years before

Growing up without a father was hard but having cancer was the worst part of Alexis' childhood. She's found the one man who she has spent her entire childhood dreaming about. The one man she wanted to look up to. Alexis graduated at age seventeen and is going to MIT once she graduated MIT she went straight to the marines just like her father. She wanted to go earlier but she got caught up in her MIT classes and visiting her father at NCIS. Alexis hasn't felt anything like the love she feels when she's around Special Agent Timothy McGee.
