He say her everywhere. He saw her at school. He saw her on the bus. He even saw her in his dreams. Of course, that was probably normal
for any teenager with a crush on the girl he'd been best friends with since second grade. The problem was, she wasn't there. She wasn't anywhere. His best friend had disappeared, and she was nowhere to be found. She was gone. She was the lost girl.
