I looked over at the new kid in homeroom. He was adorable, long-ish brown hair, brown eyes, he looked kinda sad though. I decided to talk to him, he did just switch schools so maybe he was lonely.
I got up and started walking towards him, hearing all my friends call my name in confusion.
"Hi, I'm Rydel." I told him, with a smile.
He looked up at me and all the sadness seemed to wash away. "Hi, I'm Ellington. Ellington Ratliff." he said, returning the smile.
"Would you like a chocolate band-aid?" I asked him, pulling one out of my pocket that I grabbed from my book-bag before coming over. I handed it to him.
"Sure." he replied taking it while I took a seat next to him.
And that's how it all began.
