Rowan just broke out of jail, and is fleeing while guards chase her. A mysterious man helps her out. But, he says to serve him, as a reward, and she agrees.

He then gives her a white dress, and gives her a guy to get close to, to pretend to love him. Then, in the winter, get him to follow you into the woods, and kill him. And, as you imagine, she does just so, but in doing that, the dress isn't white anymore. It's red. With the blood of the people she murdurs.

'Red' as people call her, happily does it all. She like to work for this strange man. And one year, no different from the others, she is given a man to kill. So she sets out, to get close, then to the woods.

But, oddly enough, she feels herself being actually drawn to him, as if she really truly loves him. But the dead line is coming to kill him, but she doesn't think she can do it to this man, the only one she loves.

So will she not kill him and get the consequences from the mysterious man? Or will she kill him?
