a state in which someone thinks about someone or something constantly or frequently especially in a way that is not normal
: someone or something that a person thinks about constantly or frequently
: an activity that someone is very interested in or spends a lot of time doing

Wikipedia defines stan as such...
an avid fan and supporter of a celebrity, franchise, or group, often a rock/pop musician. The object of the stan's affection is often called their fave.

The one thing you have to realize about my story is that others may use the first definition to describe me, but those who are in the same boat as I am use the second more so.
