Liliya is a foster kid, as normal as you get in that life. When she is accepted to Chiron's School for the Gifted  somewhere in Nowhere, Washington she finds not everything is normal. Stories that are said to be made-up are almost fully true, she meets friends with powers and with "fictional" people for parents. But where does she fit in? What is her gift? She wouldn't be here if there wasn't something different about her.
