Dan and Phil go to the same university. They share most of their classes together and since Phil is so shy, Dan decides to befriend him. They start talking, and once they realize it, they become inseparable. They become the best of friends.
But, for Christmas Phil has to go visit his parents. Dan spends his time all alone in his apartment, waiting a long and painful lonely month for his best friend to come back.
When Phil comes back, Dan notices there's something different about him. He's acting weird, strange. He's not paying attention to his classes, he's barely leaving his house, and he's ignoring Dan.
What happened to Phil? How will Dan find out? And how is this all linked back to Dan's past?
