Attack on Titan
2145 Long, long ago, humanity had reached it's peak in peace and prosperity. The sad thing was that there was still war and starvation. Overpopulation took it's toll, taking away room and a surplus of food. The world continued to die until 100 years ago, when Governer Zackly's great grandfather had come up with an idea. What if we could halve the earth's population? What if, within a region, the strong will rise, one by one, to create a better, more efficient society. This was Zackley's vision. However, every vision of change comes with bloodshed. The only way for the strong to emerge is if they eliminate the weak. And that is exactly what today's society is based upon. I am Bertolt Hoover. I understand that I have to kill or be killed. On behalf of the region of Maria, I accept my challenge. ⊷⋄⋄⚄⋄⋄⊶

Everyone believes that it's perfect, but they don't know the workings of the inside. I was told by someone I met years ago what really goes on inside the government building, and since have been moved to the poorest part of the "perfect" city. With every passing day, I feel my reality slipping away, fading into darkness and despair, no hope in me ever being normal ever again. I remember the day this all started like it was yesterday. I was a small five-year-old boy that had the intelligence of an eleventh grader when a new student joined our class, myself having to be the one who had to take him around the school... ~~~ Originally Completed On: November 19th, 2017 Published On: August 1st, 2018
