When you watch your parents get brutally murdered in front of you as a mere seven year old, you spiral into an incurable insanity. 
Then, you're adopted by your abusive uncle, and your only motivation to continue living is getting revenge on the monster  who took your parents away. 
That's exactly what happened to Joy Reant. 
A once sweet girl was turned into a suicidal psychopath.  
When the world's greatest detective connects her to more recent murders, he takes her in in hope that she'll forget. 
This is my first fanfic so please don't hate.
There's also swearing, abusive themes. alcohol usage, and possibly sexual tendencies later on.

But then I meet L, a member of the group who's working on the Kira case, the best detective in Japan, the one person who hides his identity.... Can I tell him..? Can I trust him...? He seems to trust me enough to tell me that he's L. But there are a few things stuck in my head... Why did he offer me to help him? Why does he want me to help at all? Why does he want me by his side? Why does he want me to choose a letter as a name? Especially for broadcasting? L.... You care about me... Don't you? Or... Are you just trying to make me feel welcome..? This was originally going to have a character but then I decided to make it and L x Reader story. Your point of view will be written in first person, this is only because this is my first x reader story. But I hope you enjoy nonetheless. Will Lily get better and go live with her family again or will she remain in a sense of denial enough that her sanity is in jeopardy? This story is told from Lily's point of view but it actually told by another girl with her little comments every now and again.
