Joanna, the youngest daughter of Ian Beaumont and aspiring writer, has always been the apple of her father's eye, even after he has lost all his wealth and moves the family to the humble town of Perreneux. She would do anything to protect her family and is forced to prove this when her father's life is in danger.

The Beast, the fierce protector of the forest, has lived in the heart of Nature's abundance for years. When a man comes into his seemingly clandestine domain, he almost kills him until he learns of his youngest daughter and makes the father promise to bring her to his home.

Joanna and the Beast are brought together under the same roof. Their company leads them to discover each other's past and goals in life along and explore the hidden magic of the surrounding forest. This retelling goes deeper into the unlikely relationship between the quiet Beauty who discovers her strength and passion and the lonely Beast who unearths his trust and love.

For the fae, magic is everything: status, power, wealth, honor. For Vera Reite, a fae born with no magic, it is a shameful reminder that she will never amount to anything. Whispers of a fae-killing monster begin to circulate the Moon Court. It lurks in the woods, feeding off the mana of its victims. Those that go missing and find themselves at the mercy of the beast are never seen or heard from again. Fear quickly takes hold of the fae court; it's only a matter of time before their whole world is destroyed by this creature. However, it offers Vera a glimmer of hope. When she learns of it, she ventures into the wood to kill the beast, believing that she will be able to absorb the magic it has stolen. But the woods are as dangerous as the beast, and Vera soon finds herself lost. In a stroke of luck, she comes across an old manor deep in the forest where a strange boy is sealed away. If Vera wishes to slay the beast, she will first have to uncover the secret of the manor and its prisoner before it's too late. 𝐀 𝐟𝐚𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜. 𝐀 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭. ***FREE STORY***Antoine, his daughters Marthe, Marie and Beauty must leave fashionable Paris for rural Avon, in the shadow of enchanted forêt de Fontainebleau. News from Paris offers the family a glimmer of hope, until Antoine comes face to face with a ferocious Beast... Wattpad Reader Reviews: @nycgal38 I love the beginning! I'm thinking at this point it would make a wonderful bedtime story. It's so beautifully described! @thebeast86 This is so well written. I LOVE your writing style ❤❤❤ @AmandaUrie23 I love how in your version of beauty and the beast, you've given the beauty's sisters more character and made them more realistic as opposed to most accounts where the sisters are just bland and mean. I also like how you've given Belle a backstory. The best part in all of this is the historical accuracy, and the proper use of royal titles. It's my first time reading this and I'm so excited for what's to come! @MellifluousSkies This feels like a brand new story, as I am reading it, even though it is "a tale as old as time". Great story telling...I love the filling out you have done with such a classic tale, adding more background and feelings to really give the story a large presence. Brava! @random__thoughts I'm so glad that I found this! It's amazing and deserves way more attention! @mirabellaspencer I love love love ur book beauty and the beast. The way that u changed the story but yet kept it the same was amazing. @juliadarcy87 Omg Disney skipped the plan to eat her haha. @eldorado16 Love the first line! And impressed by how Beauty seems to bring out the best in everyone - except her sisters. @AmericanBeauty_y I effing love this story! I don't understand why it isn't more popular

When Agatha becomes the Everard's governess, she's grateful for a way to escape her dark past. That is until her growing feelings for the mysterious Lord of the house begin to present an even greater risk. ***** The Everard's are one of the most esteemed families in Wickhurst. And Benedict, the Lord of Devonshire and the eldest of the clan, is as mysterious and brooding as anyone The Town has ever seen. His face is marked with scars, and no one dares to speak on how he got them. Known to all as 'the beast,' the townsfolk tremble in his wake. But little does he know that he is about to meet his match in Agatha Blair, his sisters' new governess. Agatha is witty, smart and gives him a run for his money when he tries to peel back the layers of who she really is. She truly intrigues him more than any woman he has met but she is a governess and he is a Lord. The Town would shun the union of two people from different stations and any romance between them is surely a recipe for social disaster! But what can they do when the burning hot feelings refuse to relent? And when Benedict uncovers that Agatha is hiding a secret far more dangerous than anything he could have imagined, will love save the day and will Agatha finally tame the beast? *This story is a standalone title in the Everard Family series.
