I was cautious to approach the shaking boy who wrapped himself in a blanket, whimpering as I stepped closer. I slipped off my backpack and knelt in front of the boy, holding my hand out.
"Hey.. I won't hurt you.." My voice was soft in case any of the nippers were around us.
He looked up, his brown eyes looking into my own.
"Do you promise?"

Alex is left alone as a fifteen year old in the beginning of the 'zombie' apocalypse. No parents, family is across the ocean and probably dead, and now he has to survive alone. After five months of barely making it, he comes across a scared younger fifteen year old boy who goes by Jack and must now protect him, too. But what will Alex do when he finds he has feelings for this boy? What will happen when he finds out a dark secret about the mysterious Jack?
