*An excerpt from the novel FAT BALLET by T.R Whittier* It’s not easy being Olga Dolovich. Orphaned at a time when she had only just begun to appreciate her parents, tormented by her beautiful-but-bitchy sex goddess of a sister, and doomed to clean the world’s dirtiest bathroom, Olga doesn’t exactly lead a charmed life. But worst of all, at least in her tortured mind, is the fact that she’s fat. Too fat for comfort. Too fat for beauty. And much, much too fat to be a ballerina. But ballet, unfortunately, is what Olga lives and breathes for. What’s a poor, plump, bathroom cleaner with artistic ambitions to do? Under normal circumstances, she’d have no choice but to watch as her dreams got washed down the drain. But when Harold Pinsky, the eccentric heir to a toilet paper fortune, dances into her life, circumstances become anything but normal. Harold, like Olga, has the right kind of talent, but the wrong kind of body to be a professional ballet dancer. Unlike Olga, however, he’s not about to let some stupid societal convention stand in the way of their happiness. With the help of a few equally imperfect friends, plus one extremely unexpected supporter, they start The Fat Ballet Company – a dance troupe dedicated to breaking down barriers, crushing conventionalism, and squashing stereotypes. But is the world ready for such an enlightened art form? And is Olga ready to come to terms with her less-than-flawless self? FAT BALLET – Dance Without Discrimination! *Please note: this novel contains bad language and bawdy humor*

Lufi Muhamad, an insomniac college dropout with mild anxiety, opens up a Tattoo Parlor right across the street from a small Flower Shop. The day after opening, he finds a bouquet on the doorstep of his parlor. He looks across the street and sees a blue-eyed boy with dirty blonde hair opening the flower shop, and something within him stirs. Deimos Alexander, a hyper ADHD 20-year-old, was shocked when he realized that a new business had opened up across the street. He looked in the window and saw (In his best friend's words) an "Emo in the wild" tattooing someone. He makes a bouquet for him and places it on his porch step. He almost dropped his coffee the following day when he saw an oil pastel drawing on his welcome mat from the tattoo artist. Trigger Warning: While this book is a majority fluff there are a few angsty bits that face some grim topics including child abuse, dangerous parents, alcohol abuse, homophobia, transphobia, and harassment. This story includes quite a bit of swearing as well (blame my trucker dad for that) so viewer discretion is advised. No Smut whatsoever in this book. (I love y'all but I'm not putting my ace ass through that torture) If you have an idea for a cute date between characters, a friend group excursion, etc. please comment. I will either try to incorporate it in the story itself or make a oneshot book. NOTE: There is no specific schedule. While I will try and update once a week I am still in school and I'm both a part of the theater program and dance team so updates might be inconsistant.
