Jessica Folley is your average teenage girl, trying to find who she is. Thats just the thing, though. Nothing could've prepared her for the news she would hear that morning in the attorneys office. That she is not at all who she thought she was. Jessica Folley is not a cliché girl. And I can promise you, this is not a cliché story. {SNEAK PEEK} I don't like stars. Because they are lies within themselves, pretending to exist. They don't grant wishes. They don't make shapes, or tell stories. They're just there until one day when their light runs out. Until one day, you have to give up on them. And realize that even the stars lie, just like every other thing in this life.
I turned away from the window. I don't need the stars.
I've heard enough lies to last a lifetime. {takes place in 2010 before the boys are famous in America}
Emma Carpenter is a classic example of a nerd. She does her homework, gets straight A's, reads all the time, and never gets in trouble.
Then one day Emma gets detention with the one and only Dylan Evans. You could say he's a bad boy. He punches anyone who pisses him off, sleeps around with every girl he meets, doesn't attend school, and is in trouble 99.9% of the time. And of course Emma can't stand him. During detention there teacher assigns them a project for them to do together over the next couple of weeks. Emma is furious.
So what happens when Emma soon realizes there is more to Dylan than that meets the eye?
