Jasmine, Claudia, Helena and Rose are all sisters during the Second World War. Life is difficult but good. Then, just as each of the girls think they have found their future husbands, their father (who is fighting in France) goes missing in action. The family are devastated and convinced that he will turn up soon, telling themselves that he's not a prisoner. How will they react when they find that the reason lies much closer to home?

Dee has always been that one weird kid. Nerdy, clumsy, awkward, has anxiety and hiding big secrets. When her older brother Patrick starts dating a girl from town, Dee doesn't believe him one bit. That was until she met her. The big "HER" Dee is thrown away by Jen's beauty, and she immediately has a crush on her. Problem is, Jen's with Patrick, she wouldn't ever like her. After the young couple split up, Dee and Jen become best friends. One night at Jen's house, dark secrets come out and life changing events take place. Jen makes a positive impact on Dee and her life, and she eventually falls in love with her. Problem is that Patrick, who's gone mad with a drug addiction, is on to them. Will he destroy their bond or will they manage to shut him out? This isn't a masterpiece and is kinda shitty so I apologize if its cringey in places. Anyway, hope you enjoy the book. Slight trigger warning due to talk about depression and anxiety
