Geek. Hearing the term made Logan Baron cringe yet alone pity the pathetic species. Calculators, thick framed glasses, and perfectly sharpened Number 2 pencils are what came to mind when being asked to describe the socially awkward classmates he saw struggling to keep up a conversation with a normal human. What a prick huh? Well, that’s exactly what came to Kacie Parson’s mind when she had to describe an arrogant, conceited, “jock” like Logan Baron. All the guys wanted to be him, and all the girls wanted to be with him, but not Kacie. She knew better than to fall for his sandy locks and all too shiny teeth. Plus, with the way he looked down upon her kind he wasn’t exactly paying her any attention either. So, what if she was smarter than 80% of the school and wanted to do something in high school that actually counted for her future? Kacie was just trying to be responsible. It was simple really. Use your brain, stay in your own lane. And everything was going to plan for two years, until Junior Year when Kacie caught Logan’s attention and became a red flashing dot on his radar. Now the question was: how was Kacie going to get Logan to leave her alone to finish high school in peace and quiet? But what she didn’t know was that it was too late for that, after all Logan Baron’s target was acquired.
