Fourth graders Liam Crown and Shaelynn Clear thought they would be friends forever. They grew up fast into middle school- and grew out of their friendship even faster. But as they go their separate ways into a huge highschool, Shae faces serious problems that she can't tell anyone else, and Liam now resents his father for reasons his friends can't understand.
