" my body an illusion, my age beyond count, the memories I've collected revolve around you. The only person that seemed to compute, that the only real reason I left was for you. All I ever did was for you and I expected you to see that, but in those moments those last fleeting moments when I thought I knew you, even when you aren't here, I was proved wrong. You made me believe I was special and confided in me what to others you did not. I believed I didn't need protecting, even from you. When it was time for you to sacrifice your life for that one life, which once seemed insignificant, I believed you kept no secrets from me, but I was wrong, and now I see that you only meant to protect me, even if it meant making me believe you had no secrets kept from me, but oh the pain, the sadness that abides in my soul, my essence is glazed by your presence, now that you are gone, though still here, the void is slightly less empty, for the thing that matters most now, is a learning breathing child, at moments his presence invades my own and reminds me of the thing I lost, but not just me, everyone of us, and I am sweeped into a hole of the pain I still carry with your memory."
