"I didn't ask for this. The moment I was born I was destined as the trigger to start a war that separated this world from Light and Darkness. I was destined to die. Though I agreed to this. And I'm okay with it. But my death could go either way: for my people, or against them. And in the world of shape-shifting, blood thirsty creatures, how can you tell between friend or foe? Real or not real? Sanity is no longer a part of me, all plans lost. Now all I have left to do is to close my eyes, and die." Rosaline Frost was born into the world of Light, though sent down to this place called Earth, the one planet that is equally divided into both light and darkness. The place where the Shadow People lurk. But she doesn't know it. And with a boy that always appears to hide in her shadows, she begins to fall deeper and deeper to a death she doesn't know is coming. Saving the Light from destruction, only by entering herself into a place of darkness for eternity. Are you afraid of the dark?

What did they mean? I knew who I was, didn't I? I was Rosalia Mallory, a girl left on the doorstep of our town's foster agency to find a new home. From there I went through three homes before at the age of 16 instead of having to live in the group home I secured enough money to, along with the money the foster carers were given for me, to buy an apartment building. Alongside a job bartending and waitressing I had enough money to attend college and am currently studying Religion and Mythology, Creative writing and Art. Just a normal teenage girl with a normal life. But at the same time, I'm not. Who am I? Seems like the most cliché question a teenager can ask right? Except when your missing months, if not years, of your life suddenly that seemingly simple question takes on a whole new meaning. After all, if you don't know your whole past how can you answer that for yourself?
