A tune played softly throughout the house, calming the surrounding area. Then there was a crash, then screaming.
"Leave them alone you bastard!" An elder woman yelled, arms raised to protect her three girls. The mans smirk turned sadistic, "Aw, common Lillian, let me have some fun." He seemed almost demonic, eyes focused hungrily on the middle child. The brunette gulped, facing away from her father.
Lillian picked up a nearby lamp, throwing it as hard as she could. He stumbled back grasping his face, a gash present across his cheek while his nose seemed to be broken. He inched forward, and Lillian stepped up, "You're not my Daniel! Back off!" She screamed, arms stretched out again.
Dan chuckled darkly, lunging passed her. He gripped the back of the middle child's shoulders and pulled her back swiftly, squeezing her shoulders tight enough to bruise. "Melody!" Lillian screamed, tears flowing down her freckled cheeks. Melody whimpered as the hands got tighter, breath ghosting across her neck.
"You'll never escaped...." He whispered in a low tone. Everything's fuzzy after that, but those moments are forever scarred in her memories.
