Divine law has been broken. Officers Bones and Bishop are pulled off their assigned mundane jobs to take up their original roles as homicide detectives, two hundred years after their last case. At first sight, it looks like a routine suicide, until the Hound picks up an extra set of DNA signatures and a syringe containing an unusual purple liquid. 

To make matters worse, Officer Bones is struggling to keep her emotions together. Time is wearing her down and so is her former partner. She needs to solve the case quickly. It's only a matter of time before she cracks, or even worse; Bishop finds out.
