Clara is just an ordinary farm girl. Except that she can talk to animals with her magic, which nobody can know about since if they do she'll be executed. But everything as she knows it is turned upside down when she finds out that not only is her entire life a sham but that she has another, unknown family out there. Then she gets kidnapped. Clara, who has been taken by the royal family, finds out she is one of them, and is told that she must pose as the king's adopted daughter, Melanie. Who is his actual illegitimate daughter and her twin sister. Complicated family tree aside, Clara is thrown into the world of courts, ball gowns, and becoming a proper lady. In the meantime, the real Melanie finds out what's going on at the castle and plans how to exact her revenge and take her rightful place on the throne of Theorden, all from where the royal family stowed her away. Will Clara survive her vengeful twin and the pressure of being someone she's not? Or will the kingdom fall to a dark power?
