"Love me or hate me, both are in my favor..." Kayla was 9 days old when her father promised her to Damian, who was 18 months old when his father promised he'd be a suitable husband. The problem with this engagement: The natural right to find a mate, a bond that is deep and sacred, has been robbed from them by their own parents for pack politics. Everything about the arrangement screams bad blood and ill fate. "If you love me, I'll always be in your heart..." The alpha's attempted, through the marriage of their heirs, to force their packs into a peaceful union. But love can never be forced, it must be chosen. As the two come of age and resist, tensions between the packs burst. The dreaded hunters, who prowl the night looking for supernatural beings of myth and legend, begin to take notice. Within it all, there are wolves who want nothing but a good, bloody, fight; and the arrangement provides the sweet scent of opportunity and war. "If you hate me, I'll always be in your mind..."
