The land of Andaya used to be peaceful and resplendent, a place of glorious beauty and knowledge. After the long rule of two mad brother kings, Andaya has fallen to ruin and anarchy. In the great city, the people are still being affected from the terror of the dead kings' horrific reign, despite the efforts of the remaining royal family to rebuild and restore. The last Alitura, Ortolana, was brutally killed by the crown, and none other has risen in over eighty years. An Alitura possesses unique abilities and are cherished for her connection to the earth and its people. She provides peace and equilibrium. The people of Andaya fear the kings have destroyed any hope of recovery. Hidden away in the northern mountain temple, Arborlynn awaits the day where she can return to Andaya City and restore balance. Like other Alituras before her, she has the gift of healing the world around her. Alituras also have their own powers, unique to each one born. Arborlynn has a strong connection to plants, which gives her the ability to sense what they hear and feel. As the anarchists who favour the old rule begin to gain more power in the city, Arborlynn must be ready to overcome their authority and help save Andaya from further ruin. But can she face the darkness where even the powerful Ortolana once failed?
