Magic. It's a strange thing, really. Wizards, witches, goblins, dragons, unicorns, mermaids, centaurs.. it's all very fascinating. If only it were all real.

However, something somehow breaks that special barrier between fantasy and reality. At least it does for Evangelina Topkins.

It all starts a half hour before her eleventh birthday. Something strange happens. Something unrealistic. It can't be possible. It isn't possible. It's a dream. Yes, that's it. Just a silly dream. Right? Magic isn't real. It can't be real. It shouldn't be real.
